Tributes from the hearts of those who loved her most — her husband, her children, and all who carry her with them.

Husband
My wife and I shared a wonderful peaceful journey together, filled with love, laughter and understanding. We lived in harmony and always respected one another. Arguments were never part of our home. Whenever there was any misunderstanding, we would sit down and calmly work things out.
Together we raised our children — Shola, Tunde and Yemi — to always do the right thing: to be kind, caring, generous and humble towards others.
I truly loved my wife. It pains me deeply that she had to leave me at this time. This was meant to be the season of our lives when we would enjoy each other's company and the fruits of our labour together. But God alone knows why He called her home before me, and only He knows best. May her soul rest in perfect peace.
If I could say one more thing to my beloved Tinuola Abeni, I would say: "I love you and I thank you for being a devoted mother to our children, a wonderful grandmother to our grandchildren and an amazing partner to me."
Rest in peace my darling wife. I will continue to miss you until we meet again.

Tribute to a very special mum.
Mum, you were truly one of a special and good kind.
From my birth you gave me my independence without me being aware — by giving me two extra days to arrive in this world, on the Independence Day of your homeland.
Throughout my life you continued to make various sacrifices, rearing me with the real values of love, kindness, respect and care to be shown or given at all times, no matter what, no matter whom.
Your biggest gift to me was a baby brother and a sister, whom I will continue to look out for and look after, since that is what you would expect. Both of my siblings have bestowed on me the role of being a loving and good auntie to your grandchildren.
I will always carry your love and strength in my heart, Mum, as well as the gift of your wisdom, that will be cherished forever.
Your love is my blessing, and your memories will always be my comfort.
Such a special mum you have always been and will always be. No one will ever replace you in my life or heart.
Love you Mum forever ❤️

Today, I want to honour my mother — a woman whose strength, love, and hard work shaped all of our lives in ways we may never fully be able to measure.
My mother was always working, always caring, and always watching over us. She was the kind of person who seemed to be on top of everything and everyone. She carried so much responsibility, yet she rarely complained. In fact, we often took her for granted because she was never sick, never asking for attention, and never making her burdens known. She was so strong and so steady that we sometimes forgot just how much she was doing for all of us.
She was always looking for ways to help. She was not only a mother, but also a hardworking woman with purpose and determination. Through her company, Maggies Ade and Sons, she showed us the value of dedication, responsibility, and perseverance. She worked hard, gave her best, and carried herself with strength and dignity.
When I started my own life, my own business, and especially when I began having children, she was right there. She came to help without hesitation. Whether it was washing clothes, ironing, cleaning, cooking, entertaining, or simply being present, she gave herself completely. She made hard work look ordinary because she did it with love.
My mother was also such a healthy and energetic person that it was difficult to imagine life changing. She seemed like someone who would always be there — moving, helping, giving, and making sure everyone else was okay. That is why her absence feels so unreal and so painful. When someone has been such a constant presence, it is hard to understand how the world can continue without them in the same way.
But even in our sadness, we are surrounded by memories. We remember her hands at work, her voice, her presence in the home, and the many ways she showed love — not always through big words, but through action. She loved by doing. She loved by giving. She loved by showing up again and again.
There are so many things we cherish now. So many moments that may have seemed small at the time have become precious. The help she gave, the care she showed, the strength she carried, and the sacrifices she made will remain with us forever.
So today, I want to say thank you. Thank you, Mum, for life. Thank you for your love. Thank you for your hard work. Thank you for being there when we needed you, even when we did not fully realise how much we needed you. Thank you for the example you gave us — an example of strength, devotion, service, and unconditional love.
You were deeply loved. You are deeply missed. And you will always have a place in our hearts.

My dearest mother,
I thank God for your life — a life filled with immense love, kindness, generosity, and a truly beautiful heart. I am so blessed and proud to call myself your baby. Words cannot fully express the love, care, and devotion you showed me throughout my life. You instilled in us, your children, the true values of life and taught us the importance of kindness, compassion, and love for others. I thank God that you were the vessel through which I came into this world.
Mummy, thank you for all the wonderful years we shared together, especially during the time I was about to become a mother myself. You left everything behind to come and be with me in London, standing faithfully by my side from the early stages of my pregnancy through to childbirth. You were there to welcome both of my boys into this world, and you remained close to them with unwavering love until the very end.
My mummy Coconut, you are the kind of mother every woman should aspire to be — selfless, kind, loving, caring, and considerate. Nothing was ever too difficult for you to do for the people you loved. Your heart was pure, and your love knew no limits.
I will deeply miss calling you "Mummy Coconut" and hearing you reply, "Another one is a counterfeit." Those words will forever live in my heart. I love you so much, Mummy.
Rest in peace, my Coconut, until we meet again.
